The Burnout Struggle is REAL!!!

Updated: Sep 23, 2019

Our society has done such a great job at programing us to feel like the worse people in the world if we want to take time out and think about ourselves exclusively.

When we think of the Energizer Bunny he has a battery in his back and he keeps going and going.  It seems like many of us think we are that same little bunny that never seems to get tired, stressed or Burnt Out.

Our society has done such a great job at programming us to feel like the worse people in the world if we want to take time out and think about ourselves exclusively.

Which is enough to drive anyone BAT SH*T CRAZY. Don't let society and Instagram kill you prematurely.

Don't Burnout

We all know what burnout looks like within ourselves and in others but everyone is afraid to be judged or fired if we admit to being burnt put. Why do you think the airlines says to put your air mask on before you put on the child sitting next to you; it's cuz if you're not alright then it is hard for others to be alright. We all have people that we take care of or interact with, but if you're not your best self it is impossible to engage with anyone from an acceptable place, that's just keepin it real 100. If you refuse to put the work into yourself, how can you expect others to invest in you or expect you to invest in them; it just doesn't make sense. Investing in ourselves doesn't always mean buying something fancy, even though that's nice. For me it is far more simple, I'm just talking about the basics of getting adequate sleep and eating well; I feel like if most of us got enough sleep and didn't eat shitty foods all the time our lives would be so much more on point.

I'll end here, I ask that everyone reading this find 1 hour more where you can sneak in sleep, whether that is taking a nap at lunch or saving Ratchet TV in the dvr for a few days and getting to bed an hour earlier. Once you've conquered that, try having lunch be your biggest meal and maybe if you're a big meat eater, have it for two meals a day instead of 3 or 4 times. Let me know if you can tell the difference and share your thoughts.

Peace & Blessings
